In addition to my writing and academic research, I take on a limited number of students for regular private tuition. I have years of experience as a tutor and secondary school teacher, as outlined below, and I am knowledgeable in many areas of English and American Language and Literature.
I am currently completing my PhD at the University of Cambridge, in the Faculty of English; my title is Real Estate and the Realist Short Story in the United States, 1973–1992. My project is fully funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, under the Open-Oxford-Cambridge studentship scheme.
I gained my BA and MA (Cantab) at Cambridge in 2011, and was awarded my teaching qualifications (both QTS and PGCE) from the Institute of Education in 2015 and 2016. I then completed my MA at University College London in 2018, for which I achieved the highest Distinction in my cohort and was nominated to the UCL Dean’s List. Meanwhile, I taught English Literature and Language in a London secondary school (graded "Outstanding" by OFSTED) from 2014 to 2019, where my students achieved consistently excellent results. Alongside my teaching, writing and studies, I have worked as a tutor for over ten years.
Please enquire for availability and current fees. I offer in-person tuition in London and Cambridge, and occasional Skype tuition.
